Facial Rejuvenation: Introduction
Facial Rejuvenation Therapy
Time, chemicals, exposure to sun, the effects of smoking can take a toll on facial appearance. One of the many unique advantages of having an aesthetic facelift from Sacred Healing Tree is that there is no need for surgery in order to restore a healthier, more youthful appearance- NO SUBSTANTIAL HEALTH RISKS!
Avoid all of the most common complications associated with face lift surgery: blood and fluid retention beneath the skin, infection, adverse reaction to anesthesia, numbness or tingling around incision areas and unexpected results. Nerve damage, discoloration of the skin, and hair loss can also occur in some cases.
HOW IT WORKS
As we age fat and elasticity dissipate from the face. In addition, the withering of lesser used facial muscles and the deterioration of the skin of the face has a tendency to cause undesirable facial features. Aesthetic Facelift Therapy works on the same ancient health restoring principles as Traditional Chinese Medicine. Therapy specifically targets the skin, muscles and underlying fatty and connective tissues; the combined contributing causes of facial wrinkles.
Significantly reduce or eliminate:
- Brow Lines
- “Crow’s Feet”
- “Marionette Lines”
- Sagging Jowls
- Sagging Eyelids
- Turkey Neck/ Double Chin
- Décolletage (Chest Wrinkles)
There are layers to the tissues of the face. Each plays a role in overall appearance.
Dermis/Epidermis… The outermost layer of skin provides an overall indication of personal health; so much so, that Chinese Medicine practitioners for thousands of years have used facial indications in diagnosis. Wrinkles, warts, blotches, scars, elasticity, color, coating, texture, moles, veins are reflective of the innermost functions of the human body. Repeated exposure to sun, cigarette smoke, chemicals (including make-up), and lack of proper general maintenance contribute to skin damage.
Subcutaneous tissue… Located directly beneath the skin, subcutaneous tissue is composed of fat and connective tissues. Connective tissue connects the skin to the muscles and provides structure for fatty tissue lending to the overall shape of the face. Areas of the face swollen with excess fatty tissue stress connective tissues and they tend to sag over time. As a result, the skin sags as well.
Muscles… Depending largely on emotional health, some muscles of the face get used more than others. The appearance of facial lines may occur over time in accordance with what muscles are most often or least used.
Each client is individually assessed to determine skin quality, muscle tone and underlying contributing factors to facial degradation. An appropriate treatment plan is devised to best achieve client goals.
Treatment plans vary according to desired results. Usually, a regimen of three therapy sessions spaced one week apart will achieve the most commonly desired results. Each session involves meticulously manipulating the muscles, fatty tissues and skin in such a way as to improve the complete overall facial structure while contributing to the long-term health of all layers of the skin. Mastery in applying the techniques of muscular and tissue manipulation are key. Self-massage techniques and the application of a specific skin rejuvenating lotion are recommended during the course of therapy.
